Despite the COVID-19 crisis affecting our finances, nine in ten UK adults – that’s 47 million of us – don’t find it any easier to talk about money, or don’t even discuss it at all.

That’s why Debt Free London used Talk Money Week as an opportunity to open a pop-up advice centre on London’s Oxford Street as an opportunity to encourage people to come and speak about the often taboo subject of money.

During the week of 8th November, we hosted daily programme of events including seminars and webinars on savings, budgeting, common debt worries and how to access non-judgemental support which saw over 7,500 people attend and engage both in-person and online - with 32 customers receiving walk-in, face-to-face, debt advice consultations - starting their journey to become debt free.
