Today, on 21 October, Debt Free Advice held its annual conference at 40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf.

The Debt Free Advice partnership celebrated 15 years of serving London this year, and today's conference brought the entire service together for the first time in 18 months, along with a host of external partners.

Debt Free Advice celebrated its partnerships with Ingeus and Employers Domestic Abuse Covenant (EDAC), with guest speakers from our partner organisations taking the stage before an audience of delegates from across the sector.

We also launched the new Debt Free API, which uses cutting edge technology to allow for easier and more seamless referrals to our service from other organisations, helping a greater breadth of people with money worries to access free expert debt advice. You can read more about our API here.

The conference included the launch of Debt Free Advice's Annual Impact Report with a foreword by the Mayor of London. The report's findings were considered in depth by a discussion panel chaired by Kate Pender of Fair4All Finance. Read more about our Annual Impact Report here.

Guests also heard from the team of peer researchers who had fed into the participatory action research project 'We're Not on a Conveyor Belt' commissioned by the Money and Pensions Service, the findings of which Debt Free Advice was delighted to be able to share at the conference. Read more about this research and its findings here.

Today's conference was also an opportunity for the Debt Free partnership to publicly share its vision for 2025 - of free, accessible, expert debt advice available to anyone who needs it across the whole of the south of England.

Some 200 Debt Free Advice colleagues and friends from across the advice and finance sectors turned out for a memorable day together marking all the work we've done for our clients so far, and where we go from here.

I am so pleased with all the exciting announcements and updates we've heard at today’s fantastic conference - a big thank you to all our colleagues and partners for sharing our vision for advice services of the future!
