Simran grew up in West London and now lives in Hackney. While studying Classics at Balliol College, University of Oxford, they got heavily involved in homelessness and community work. Before joining DFL, they ran a range of research-based vocational trainings and public engagement workshops, as well as designing and delivering specialised resilience and wellbeing programs for a range of charities, Simran is keen to support and empower people from the widest range of backgrounds, in the way each individual needs, and through this enable material change on individual, community, and societal levels.
Simran is fluent in Italian, competent in French, and has a basic level of Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.
